Eligibility:
  1. The KIAA-CAS Postdoctoral Fellowship gives preference to applicants whose research is closely related to observational facilities hosted by CAS, including (1) galaxy and AGN research using optical spectroscopy, (2) physics of AGN jets using radio techniques, (3) gas and dust content of galaxies and AGNs, with special emphasis on H I (21 cm) observations, (4) and pulsars. CAS is the largest national science institution in China and includes several national observatories and institutes in astronomy and astrophysics, located in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Kunming and other cities. CAS operates most of the major astronomical facilities in China, including LAMOST, 500m FAST and 65m Tianma radio telescopes, and is planning future facilities such as an optical/IR 12m telescope, several space telescopes, and international facilities such as TMT and SKA.  The appointment is for a period of three years, the first two at KIAA and the third at one of the CAS observatories.
  2. Applicants should indicate which of the two fellowships they are most interested in. Prospective applicants are encouraged to discuss possible collaborative projects with faculty members at either KIAA or the PKU Department of Astronomy.
