Ivan Ssemwanga passes on

South Africa based Ugandan businessman, Ivan Ssemwanga has died.

The Rich Gang boss, who has been on life support at Steve Biko Hospital in Pretoria is said to have breathed his last in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Ivan suffered a stroke about 2 weeks ago that left him paralyzed. He underwent surgery to remove a blood clot on his brain but it was not enough to save his life.

He was eulogised by his baby mama and ex-wife, Zari Hassan, who revealed that he was a charming person. She said, “God loves those that are special and that’s exactly who you were & I guess that’s why he wanted you to himself. You have touched and helped thousands, you did wonders and I remember you telling me “life is too short let me live it to the fullest”, this very dark hour it makes sense why you always said those words to me. To your sons, you were a hero-some kind of superman. Anyone who has ever been in your presence knows what a charming person you were. You will be missed and remembered in so many ways. You were IVAN THE GREAT!

Ivan who was famous for his flashy lifestyle died aged 39 and is survived by three sons.

7 Best ways to display your affection in public

7 Best ways to display your affection in public

Simply defined, public displays of affection are acts of physical intimacy in the view of others.

That definition by Wikipedia basically explains the idea of putting almost every phase and activity in your relationship in people’s faces.

Public displays of affection became a lot more rampant with the rise of all the social media platforms we use now.

But how does one go about this both in real life situations and online without overdoing it and making it become awkward?

The steps below should be very helpful.

1. Kissing is the easiest, sweetest way to do PDA. If you don’t mind doing it in public, fine. Just keep the tonguing at the most minimal.

If you want to share it on social media, once in a while is the best way to go about it. You can post as many cheek kisses as possible though.

2. If the people around you are starting to get uncomfortable about it, it might be time to stop.

3. Make it look good. Because anything worth doing at all should be done very well.

4. Watch out for the people around. You don’t want to try PDA’s around those elderly men and women. Don’t do it.

5. Watch the words you use if you are writing on social media.

Don’t give out too much information that might haunt you if that love somehow hits the rock. The Internet never forgets.

6. It’s PDA, not outdoor porn!

Always try to avoid heavy petting, or dipping your hands in your partner’s most intimate parts. Leave out that part till you are behind closed doors.

7. Public display of affection is exciting, but it can also project your image in wrong light. So, you better watch out for your reputation.

Lupita Nyong’o to star alongside Rihanna in new movie

Lupita Nyong’o to star alongside Rihanna in new movie

Call it the revenge of the disruptors.

After a dramatic negotiation session at the Cannes Film Festival, Netflix has nabbed a film project pairing Grammy winner Rihanna with Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, in a concept that began as a Twitter sensation. Ava DuVernay (Selma) will direct, and Issa Rae (Insecure) is writing the screenplay.

According to sources, Netflix landed the project in a very aggressive bid, beating out multiple other suitors. Netflix had no comment.

The project began as an online meme when the photo below — a shot that was taken in 2014 of the two women in the front row of a Miu Miu fashion show — went viral, prompting calls to turn it into a movie.

Twitter users went so far as to ask for DuVernay (who is in post-production on A Wrinkle in Time for Disney) to direct, with Rae (whose second season of HBO’s Insecure will debut on July 23) to write. Soon after, all four women pledged their support to the project on the social media platform.

Since then, the buzz has only intensified, with some creating concept art of the “scammer story” they envisioned with Rihanna playing a woman who cons white men, while her brilliant co-conspirator (played by Nyong’o) orchestrates the heists. It’s unclear how faithful Rae will remain to the crowd-sourced concept. (Since this piece was published, reps for Rae told Vanity Fair “the original Twitter users who imagined the concept for this film will be credited and included in some form.”)

Sources say Rae is already working on the script and the studio is eyeing a production start of 2018 after DuVernay completes her current film.

BBA star Idris suffers harsh backlash after dissing Kenya online

Kenyans and Tanzanians went head-to-head on Twitter after former Big Brother Africa winner Idris Sultan dissed Kenya online on Wednesday.

Idris mocked Kenyans about their maize crisis, advising them to move to Tanzania where there is plenty of maize.

He tweeted:

Someone tell Kenyans to move to Tanzania, Wana shida ya unga na skin color #TZvsKE

— Idris Sultan (@IdrisSultan) May 24, 2017

Kenyans did not take this lightly and went HAM on Tanzanians by making fun of their English accents.

Twitter users from both countries went on a rampage roasting each other in a series of hilarious tweets, that trended via the hashtag – #TZVKE .
