No Divorce Shall Happen– Chameleone

No Divorce Shall Happen– Chameleone

No Divorce Shall Happen– Chameleone

By Serestino Tusingwire

Celebrated singer Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone has played down rumours going viral on social media that he is more likely to be left a lone wolf after his wife Daniella Atim deciding to formally leave him.

On Wednesday, the local Newspaper, Bukedde reported that the mother of four, Daniela has filed for divorce at the family division court in Nakawa. Yes it is true as court documents read.

It should be noted that Chameleone hasn’t been in good terms with her wife Daniella for quite some time which forced her to quit their marital home for weeks before she came back.

However, in a video Chameleone released on his facebook page, he puts it clear that he is not ready at any point to let go of his darling wife Daniella.

Chameleone admits that there have been misunderstandings between him and his wife, but says that is normal to every family and doesn’t mean divorcing.

“We might be having family issues but we solve them in the house rather than taking it to the public because family business is not public business.”

He adds that he is born a catholic and once Catholics are holy married, no divorce can be allowed.

“I am a Catholic and I don’t believe in divorce, those who wrote about my wife Daniella filing for divorce are those that don’t want to see me triumph in life,” Chameleon said.

In a video that he captured at his home in Seguku, Chameleone shows his wife happily seated at home watching TV and two later drive in their BMW X5 to pick their kids who study from Galaxy International school in Lubowa.

Daniella who was driving the car remained silent because she is known for not speaking or even appearing publicly. She kept on smiling at the phone camera whenever it was flashed at her.

The Sweet banana hit maker says if Daniela has gone to court, court is there to offer a service which people need.

The video which the singer posted was accompanied by the words below:

What God put together, No man shall put apart!!
We are not Angels so no one is perfect.
It’s not the times a man falls that matter,
It’s his strength to stand again.

Love you so much Daniella,
Regardless of what is spreading around we stuck together so they should know.

There shall be NO DIVORCE as reported.

King Saha inspires fellow artistes after building mansion

Our Reporter

Musicians are always competing, if not about releasing that big hit, it is about driving the best car in town. However, musician King Saha has taken the game a notch higher by building a mansion not to compete if you can believe him, but to inspire fellow artistes.

The singer’s mansion located in Kasenge has dominated conversations among the singer’s peers as most became inspired by him.

Saha who follows in the footsteps of fellow singers like Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool and Coco Finger will soon be in his own house and quit renting.

Word has it that instead of being inspired by him, some of his peers have neen bad mouthing the Sembera singer. A known nemesis of the singer was recently heard telling peers in Makindye that Saha made the wrong decision to build very far from the city. On hearing about this, Saha said that it is better to stay in the ‘village’ in your own house than to stay in a rented pad.

We hope many other young artistes are inspired to build and become like Saha.

We will keep you posted.

More mass graves Discovered in DR Congo

Seventeen more mass graves have been found in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s central Kasai region bringing the total found since last August up to 40, the UN says.

The region has been the “scene of clashes between soldiers and members of a local militia knosn as Kamuina Nsapu”, the statement adds.

The government is fighting to put down a rebellion that began after a regional chief was killed.

Both sides have been accused of committing human rights violations.

UN investigators heard that at least 74 people, including 30 children, were killed in fighting at the end of last month.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein said the DR Congo government should take “meaningful steps, which to date have been lacking, to ensure that there is a prompt, transparent, and independent investigation to establish the facts and circumstances of alleged human rights violations and abuses perpetrated by all parties, and other abuses of justice”.

Eddy Kenzo blasts UPRS over music money

Eddy Kenzo blasts UPRS over music money

Our Reporter
Big Talent music group boss, Eddy Kenzo, in unhappy with the way Uganda Performing Right Society (UPRS) has been handling music money matters for the past couple of years.

The singer blasted the association’s bosses for mismanaging music money and paying out very little to some articles for their works after swindling most of the proceeds.

While appearing on the NTV The Beat show, a vividly angry Kenzo said that the association has done more harm than good in the music industry by cheating artistes who invest alot of time in their work only to be paid peanuts. He also added that some of the music is used without proper consent from the artistes concerned.

“I go to studio, make my music and then they sale it without my consent collect money from DJ’s, music library owners and even from Radio and TV stations, then they call me after a year and give me one million shillings with out any explanation, what happened to transparency?” Kenzo quizzed.

He also commented about the issue of callertunez and how Telcoms cheat musicians leaving them broke as they become richer yet they create the content. “Imagine musicians and their content providers and the government only share 10% of the revenues collected from their songs used for caller tunes and 90% goes to telecoms,” Kenzo said.

“A culture of onesness, selfishness unhealthy competition among the musicians looking up to themselves but not up to the industry’s best is also the problem here. I therefore call upon all musicians to team up as one and unify the industry for the better of today and tomorrow generations,” Kenzo added.

The singer then went on his Facebook page to expound on some of the issues that he didnt get a chance to talk about on air attracting numerous comments from fans and sympathizers.

We hope that one day, the issue of copyright is worked on in Uganda so that artistes can benefit from their works.

We will keep you posted.
