Delhi Police has arrested three people while seizing more than 1,300 kg of illegal firecrackers from several areas of the national capital. Officials gave this information on Sunday.
Officials said the accused have been identified as Manoj Kumar, Sanjay Attri and Vipin Kumar. He said Manoj Kumar was involved in selling banned firecrackers and Attri used to supply the firecrackers.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Satish Kumar said, “A total of 1,323 kg of banned firecrackers were seized from two warehouses. The owner of both the warehouses and the driver who supplied the firecrackers have been caught.”
He said that on the basis of secret information, the police raided Baprola village in outer Delhi on Friday and seized illegal firecrackers. According to the police, first Manoj Kumar and driver Sanjay Atri were caught.
During interrogation, both of them revealed that they used to supply firecrackers in Prem Nagar and Kirari areas. The DCP said, “Both told about another warehouse from where Vipin was arrested. We have started a detailed investigation into the matter.
