After Shiv Sena split into two in 2022, Gulab Raghunath Patil from Jalgaon Rural Assembly seat had decided to join Shinde faction. Whose reward he has been given by becoming a cabinet minister. MLA Raghunath Patil was successful in opening Shiv Sena’s account for the first time in 2014 from the newly created Jalgaon Rural Assembly seat in 2009.

About two years ago, after Shiv Sena split into two in 2022, Gulab Raghunath Patil from Jalgaon Rural Assembly seat had decided to join the Shinde faction. Whose reward he has been given by becoming a cabinet minister. MLA Raghunath Patil was successful in opening Shiv Sena’s account for the first time in 2014 from the newly created Jalgaon Rural Assembly seat in 2009. After which he has been MLA for 10 consecutive years. Gulab Raghunath Patil was also given the post of minister in the Maha Vikas government formed under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray after the 2019 elections.

Minister Gulab Raghunath Patil was born on 5 June 1966. is a politician and the current Minister of Water Supply and Sanitation of Maharashtra state. He is a member of the Legislative Assembly, the lower house of the state, representing the rural Jalgaon constituency. In 2019, he was elected to the 14th Legislative Assembly. On 30 December 2019, he was appointed Minister of Water Supply and Sanitation in the Eknath Shinde cabinet and also served as the Guardian Minister of Jalgaon district. From 1999 to 2004 he represented the Erandol constituency.

Gulab Patil left Shiv Sena after resigning as a minister in Uddhav Thackeray’s cabinet and joined rebel leader Eknath Shinde during the political crisis. Shinde, along with more than 40 of his MLAs, sought to break the alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party – Indian National Congress and demanded Uddhav Thackeray to form the government with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This led to a split in the party, with Shinde later forming the government and becoming the CM and Patil being appointed the Minister of Water Supply and Sanitation. In 2023, the faction took over Shiv Sena due to the decision of the Election Commission.
