Amid increasing air pollution in Delhi, poisonous foam was seen floating in the Yamuna river in Kalindi Kunj area on Saturday. A thin layer of smog blanketed the national capital and the air quality index reached 226 at 8 am, which the Central Pollution Control Board has categorized as ‘poor’.
The level of air pollution in the national capital Delhi is continuously increasing. In view of the continuously increasing air pollution, poisonous foam was seen in the Yamuna river in Kalindi Kunj area on Saturday. After Friday, on Saturday also a sheet of white foam was seen in the Yamuna river. This foam is floating on the upper surface of the river.

At 8 am, the AQI in Akshardham and Anand Vihar area was the highest at 334, which is in the ‘very poor’ category, followed by AIIMS and surrounding areas at 253. At 8 am, the AQI at India Gate fell to 251, which is in the ‘poor’ category.
