In an unusual decision, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered an accused, who was allegedly seen shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad, Bharat Murdabad’ slogans, to be jailed for saluting the national flag at a police station in Jabalpur as part of his bail conditions. And ordered to raise the slogan of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

Accused Faisal Nisar expressed remorse, saying, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai. I accept that I have committed a mistake, I will follow the order of the High Court. A person was shooting the video and that is how the reel was made. I I admit that I have made a mistake, I will never do it again. I also ask others not to make the same mistake.” Madhya Pradesh High Court Jabalpur granted bail to Nisar on October 15, 2024. His release required a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and a solvent surety of the same amount.
Further, Nisar will have to report at Misrod police station in Bhopal between 10 am and 12 noon on the first and fourth Tuesday of every month till the conclusion of his trial. As part of his bail conditions, he must salute the national flag 21 times and shout “Bharat Mata ki Jai”.
Police station in-charge Manish Raj Bhadauria confirmed that Nisar has complied with the court orders. “This was the first Tuesday as per the conditions set for him. The accused came on time, saluted the national flag 21 times and shouted ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. I helped him fulfill the conditions of the High Court as per the orders. , He will continue to report between 10 a.m. and 12 noon on the first and last Tuesday of every month until the conclusion of the trial.”
