QUAD Summit 2024: The Quad Summit was held in the US on Saturday. President Joe Biden hosted this summit. The heads of state of India, the US, Japan and Australia attended the Quad Summit held in the US. Earlier, Biden welcomed the three leaders attending the Quad Leadership Summit at the Archmere Academy in his hometown Wilmington. During this, something happened which made headlines.
Biden replied
During the photoshoot, a reporter asked Biden whether the Quad would continue even after the elections in November. To this, President Biden put his hand on PM Modi’s shoulder and smiled and said that it will continue much beyond November. After this, the four leaders posed for a group photo. The presidential elections in the US will be held on November 5.
‘We are a democratic country’
US President Joe Biden said at the conference, ‘We are democratic countries, we know how to get things done. That is why in the early days of my becoming President, I met all of you, went to all your countries, to show that we are making the Quad more effective. Four years later, we four countries are more strategically united than ever before.’
India will host in 2025
PM Modi said in the Quad Summit that we would be happy to hold the Quad Leaders Summit in India in 2025. He said, ‘I am very happy to participate in this Quad Summit in my third term. Our meeting is taking place at a time when the world is surrounded by tensions and conflicts. In such a situation, it is very important for humanity for the Quad to work together on the basis of shared democratic values.’ He said, ‘We are not against anyone. We all want a rules-based international order, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and peaceful resolution of all issues.’
