Addressing an event organized in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, the Lieutenant Governor said, “I have directed the security forces not to harm any innocent, but the culprits will not be spared.” If someone gives shelter to terrorists, his house will be razed to the ground. There will be no compromise on this.” Manoj Sinha said that some people give statements that those who give shelter to terrorists are being tortured. “However, this is not oppression but a demand for justice and such justice will continue,” he said.
Sinha said, “Our neighbor is trying to create unrest, but this is not worrying us, rather the people here are doing this on his instructions, which is a matter of concern.” Identifying such people is not only the job of the security forces and administration, but also the job of the people. He said that if people give shelter to terrorists and then say that we are doing injustice to them, then this Is not right. Calling upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to stand up against terrorism, Sinha asked those present whether anyone has the right to kill people who work to improve connectivity in the region. He was referring to the killing of a local doctor and six migrant laborers by terrorists on October 20 at a tunnel construction site in Gagangir area of ​​Ganderbal district. The Lieutenant Governor said, “If people do not stand up against such elements, this situation will never change. I believe that those who issue statements just for the sake of formality are worse than them (terrorists).” His comments came amid a rise in terrorism-related incidents in the Valley.
