Rahul Gandhi lashed out at RSS-BJP in Nagpur, accused of attacking the Constitution, said- caste census should be done
Addressing the ‘Samvidhan Samman Sammelan’ in Nagpur, Lok Sabha MP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that when people from RSS and BJP attack the Constitution, they are not just attacking the book, they are attacking the voice of India. Are attacking. He said that our institutions are made up of the Constitution. If there is no Constitution, there will be no Election Commission. He said that RSS cannot attack it (the Constitution) directly. If they fight against it frontally, they will be defeated in 5 minutes.

The Congress leader said that they come to attack by hiding behind the words ‘development’, ‘progress’ and ‘economy’. He said that in every conference we talk about many great people including Ambedkar ji, Gandhi ji, Sahu Maharaj ji. But the truth is that when we talk about them, we are not talking about just one person. Because even in the words of these great men, the voice of crores of people used to be there. When he spoke, the sorrow and pain of others came out of his mouth, that is why we remember him.
Rahul told the people that when you read Ambedkar ji’s books, it will be clearly seen that he is not talking about himself but about others. Ambedkar ji, Gandhi ji never saw their own pain, they only talk about the pain of the people. He said that when India asked Ambedkar ji to make a Constitution, it meant that the pain and voices of crores of people of the country should be echoed in the Constitution. He said that the Constitution is not just a book, it is a way of life. The thinking behind the Constitution is thousands of years old. Whatever is written in it has been said by many great men like Lord Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Phule ji.
The Congress MP said that it is written in it that there should be equality among everyone, every religion, every language, every caste should be respected. When RSS-BJP people attack the Constitution, they attack the voice of India. He said that while listening to the public, a small voice came to me – caste census. But then gradually this voice became bigger. We have named it caste census, but its real meaning is justice.

He said that I think that without power and money, respect has no meaning. For example, if someone is dying of hunger, then you give him money, power, open doors for him… and not garland him. Rahul said that I attended the ‘Disha meeting’ in Rae Bareli, where I asked the officers to introduce themselves. When the introduction started, I did not find the names of people from Dalit and OBC category. From corporate to judiciary, we do not see people from Dalit, OBC and tribal communities. This situation is everywhere, where we cannot see 90% of India.
