Member of Parliament (MP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi expressed strong objection to Pakistan’s attempts to deviate from the UN session on peacekeepers and lie about the Indian territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He exercised his right of reply and reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir, “was, is and will remain an integral part of India”. Taking strong objection to this comment, Trivedi immediately opted for ROR (Right to Reply) and firmly stated in the House that, “The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will remain an integral part of India”. He also told the forum that proper democratic elections had been held in the Union Territory recently and reprimanded Pakistan for using the UN forum for non-substantive and misleading words.
In his speech he said, “India chooses to respond to the comments made by Pakistan, which has once again attempted to divert this prestigious institution from its agenda. We would like to state that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India Was, is and will remain an integral part of it”.
