The fare from New Delhi to Varanasi in chair car of Vande Bharat Express is Rs 1805, while to travel in executive class you will have to spend Rs 3355. Let us tell you that this is the base price of the ticket. Apart from this, you will also have to pay reservation charge, GST separately. How much is the cancellation charge charged in Vande Bharat?
Indian Railways charges cancellation charges on cancellation of booked tickets. Railways earn crores of rupees every year only from this cancellation charge. If you have booked a ticket in AC chair car of Vande Bharat Express and for some reason you have to cancel the ticket, then Railways will charge you a cancellation charge of Rs 180 from the base price of the ticket and will refund the remaining amount. Apart from this, if you had booked a ticket in Vande Bharat Executive Class, which now has to be cancelled, then Rs 240 will be deducted from the base price of your ticket.
GST money is not returned
Reservation charge and GST are not refunded to you while canceling the ticket. On cancellation of ticket, the remaining amount is refunded to you after deducting the cancellation charge from the base price of the ticket. Let us tell you that Indian Railways charges a cancellation charge of Rs 180 even on third class AC ticket. A cancellation charge of Rs 120 is charged for cancellation of sleeper class ticket and Rs 60 for cancellation of general class ticket.
