Five people died in a massive collision between a private bus and a truck on Yamuna Expressway in Aligarh. Police gave this information on Thursday. Police said that the accident happened in Tappal area on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
On receiving information about the accident, the police force reached the spot and started relief work. Aligarh Police posted on social media platform ‘X’ and said, “Police have admitted the injured to the hospital.” The bodies of the five deceased have been sent for post-mortem.
An injured passenger told reporters that the bus was going from Kashmiri Gate in Delhi to Azamgarh in eastern Uttar Pradesh. He said that the truck that collided was filled with glass items.
Police said legal action has been initiated in the matter and normal traffic has been restored on the stretch of Yamuna Expressway where the accident took place.
