Women have to face embarrassment after divorce- Samantha

Samantha’s life after divorce
Talking about her life after divorce, she said, “When a woman goes through divorce, there is shame and stigma attached to it. I found a lot of tags like ‘second hand’, ‘used’ and ‘wasted life’. You are pushed into a corner where you start feeling like you are a failure because you were once married and now your marriage is broken. And I think it can be really hard for the families and the girls who have gone through this.”
Why was the wedding gown redesigned?
Talking about redesigning her wedding gown after her separation from Naga Chaitanya, Samantha said- “The reason why I redesigned my wedding gown was because – initially, it was very painful. . I decided to turn it around. I decided to own it. I’m separated, I’m divorced. Things did not turn out like a fairy tale. But, that doesn’t mean that I should sit in a corner, cry about it and never muster the courage to live again. It wasn’t any kind of revenge or anything. It wasn’t really a big gesture. It was this – yes it has happened. I know this and I can’t hide from it. This does not mean that my life ends here. ‘It begins where it ends.’
