Making a spectacular comeback, the alliance led by Hemant Soren’s JMM came to power in Jharkhand for the second consecutive term on Saturday. The alliance won 56 seats in the 81-member assembly.

A day before taking oath as the 14th Chief Minister of the state, Soren along with his wife Kalpana reached his native village Nemra in Ramgarh district to pay tribute to his grandfather Sobran Soren on his 67th death anniversary. Soren also invited his villagers to attend the swearing-in ceremony of his government to be held at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi. Addressing the people in Lukaiyatand of Nemra, he said that the work of government formation is going on. Soren told the villagers, “A new innings of ‘Abua Sarkar’ (our government) will start from tomorrow. The swearing-in ceremony is to be held on Thursday. I invite you all to attend this function. You all have worked very hard to bring the Abua government back to power.
