According to the report, the company is going to make YouTube Premium subscription plans expensive from January. The company had recently increased the subscription plan of YouTube globally. YouTube’s new premium subscription plan will become effective from January 13, 2025. In such a situation, users can buy the subscription plan at the old rate till January 12.
According to The Verge report, YouTube Premium subscription plan will become costlier from January 13, 2025 next year. The company is going to charge 10 dollars more than before. According to the report, at present one has to spend $72.99 for the basic plan of YouTube Premium. After the plan rate is revised, it will cost users $82.99. In this way the user will have to spend 10 dollars more for YouTube Premium.
Will the price increase in India also?
No increase in the price of YouTube Premium has been announced in India at present. The company has made YouTube Premium plan costlier in India only a few months ago. However, whenever the rates of YouTube Premium Plan have been increased in the global market, its effect has been seen sooner or later in India too. The company says that to improve the service of the platform, the rates of the plans will be increased so that the users can get better quality. After the new rates are implemented from January 13, users will have to spend more in the first bill cycle. However, the company will not stop the existing promotional and trial offers, they will continue as before.
For YouTube premium plan in India, individual users have to spend Rs 149 per month. At the same time, students have to spend Rs 89 every month. For family plan, Rs 299 per month is charged in India. For prepaid monthly plan, users have to spend Rs 159 per month. At the same time, it costs Rs 459 for the quarterly plan and Rs 1,490 for the yearly plan.
