Russia Ukraine War: Claim to have killed more than 200 North Korean soldiers fighting for Russia, created a stir

Russia-Ukraine war.

Washington: More than two and a half years have passed since the Russia-Ukraine war. But till now it has not reached any conclusion. After the assassination of the Russian nuclear chief in Moscow on Tuesday, Russia’s claim to have killed more than 200 North Korean soldiers fighting in Ukraine has created a stir in the Kremlin. It is being claimed that about 200 North Korean soldiers fighting along with Russian military forces against Ukraine have been killed or injured in this war in the Kursk border area.

A senior military officer has created a stir by giving this information on Tuesday. Although the official did not specifically say how many people had been killed, he said the North Korean military did not appear to be experienced in combat, which may have contributed to their high number of casualties. He was giving the first significant estimate about North Korean military casualties. Several weeks ago, Ukraine said that North Korea had sent 10,000 to 12,000 troops to Russia to help in the nearly three-year-long war.

According to the White House, North Korean soldiers fighting with Ukraine on the front foot

The White House and the Pentagon confirmed on Monday that North Korean troops are fighting on the front lines in Ukraine, primarily as infantry. She is fighting alongside Russian units and in some cases independently around Kursk. The number of casualties was revealed at a time when the Biden administration is pushing to send as much military aid as possible to Ukraine before President-elect Donald Trump takes office. But a senior defense official told reporters Tuesday that the Defense Department likely won’t be able to ship the rest of the Pentagon’s $5.6 billion worth of weapons and equipment to Ukraine before Jan. 20, when Trump will be sworn in.
