Washington. The outgoing Biden administration said it is leaving India-US relations in a very strong position, and is confident that relations will remain the same under Trump. America’s newly elected President Donald Trump will take the oath of office in January, with which the tenure of the current Biden administration will end. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell told reporters here on Tuesday, “We are very ambitious about the US-India relationship. “We have had a very high-level relationship over the past several months, including the Quad summit in Delaware, and we look forward to a similar relationship in the last few weeks of the Biden administration.”
Campbell, along with Principal Deputy National Security Adviser John Finer and India’s Ambassador to the US Vinay Mohan Kwatra, were in Houston on Tuesday to meet the Indian Space Research Organization astronauts. The astronauts are training at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in partnership with NASA next year to lead a joint mission to the International Space Station. Campbell said, we are confident that we will hand over bilateral relations to the incoming Trump administration in good condition. There will continue to be significant support from stakeholders in industry, technology, finance and defence. The partnership between the US and India in important space-related efforts holds great importance.
