Audi has launched its SUV Q8 in India. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 1.33 crore. The Audi Q8 competes against the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS in India’s premium SUV segment. The Audi Q8 has Angular LED headlamps at the front and the company’s signature grille. It has a coupe-like roofline in the back, which makes it sporty appealing. Also connected are tail lamps and twin exhaust pipes.
Talking about the interior, the Audi Q8 has leather seats. The car has features like a virtual cockpit instrument cluster, twin touchscreen setup on the center console, panoramic sunroof, two-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, wireless charging etc.
The Audi Q8 only has a 3.0-liter TFSI engine. It generates 340 hp power and 500 Nm peak torque. Along with 8 speed automatic transmission has been given. The TFSI engine is with a 48 V mild hybrid system. The Audi Q8 is powered by the Quattro all wheel drive system. The top speed of this SUV is 250 kmph and it can hold a speed of 0-100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds.
The company has decided that it will not offer diesel engines in the Q8 lineup. Its focus is on petrol and electric vehicles, given the BS6 emission norms in India.
The Audi Q8 has safety features like 8 airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat mounts. The company will also offer various customization packages with this SUV. Under this, there will be many options from brake calipers to leather packages. Apart from this, there will be many options regarding the colors of exteriors.
