The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has launched its popular 7-seater car Ertiga with the S-CNG variant. The company claims that it will give a mileage of up to 26.08 km at 1 kg CNG. It is the first MPV in the country to come with a factory-fitted CNG option. Let us know, Ertiga is the best selling MPV in the country and has more than 5.28 lakh customers. The Maruti Ertiga VXi CNG BS6 is priced at Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The introduction of Maruti Suzuki’s range of S-CNG vehicles is tied to and complemented by the Indian government’s vision to reduce oil imports and increase the share of natural gas in the country’s energy basket from 6.2% to 15% by 2030 . The government is rapidly working to expand the CNG pump network in the country.
Maruti Suzuki S-CNG vehicles are equipped with dual interdependent ECUs (electronic control units) and intelligent injection systems. The company has tuned these vehicles to give better performance especially in all types of areas.
