British automaker MG Motors launched its first SUV Hector in India last year, which the company has unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo from the 6 seater version. The 6 seater Hector is named Hector Plus. The current in Hector Plus looks similar to that of Hector. Featuring a front handleamp, and grille with beefier LED DRLS. However, the rear profile tail lamp and rear bumper of Hector Plus have been redesigned. Due to the 6 seater, the dimensions of this car have increased compared to the earlier.
In Hector Plus a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system is given the same feature list as the current Hector. Let me tell you, Hector features connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, 360 around view camera and 6 airbags. At the same time, there is also an AC vent and a USB charge port in the third row with Hector Plus.
The Hector Plus gets the same 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine as the Hector, which generates 143PS of power and 250Nm of torque. Along with this, the car also gets the option of a Fiat-sourced 2.0-liter diesel engine, which generates power of 170PS and torque of 350Nm. The 6-speed manual is standard with both engines. At the same time, 6-speed DCT is also available in the petrol engine.
MG Motors may make Hector Plus available for sale in India from July 2020. The price of which is expected to be around 1 lakh more than the current model. Let us know, currently the price of Hector has been kept from Rs 12.73 lakh to Rs 17.43 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from this, MG is also preparing to launch a 7-seater version of Hector Plus by the last quarter of 2020. Which will compete with Tata’s upcoming car Gravitas, 2020 Mahindra XUV500 and new XUV500 when launched in India.
