The MG ZS EV will be the second long range electric SUV in India.
The launch date of MG Motors’ ZS EV has been revealed. This electric car will be launched on 27 January. The MG ZS EV will be India’s second long range electric SUV and will compete with the Hyundai Kona. The ex-showroom price of the ZS EV can be in the range of 20-25 lakhs. This car can be booked at a token amount of Rs 50000. This electric SUV will come in two variants Exclusive and Excite. In Exclusive variants, three colors can be found in White, Blue and Red. At the same time, only red and white will be available in Excite.
The MG ZS EV has a 44.5 kWh battery pack. Its electric motor generates 143 hp power and peak torque of 353 Nm. The ZS EV has a single speed automatic transmission. This car will be able to cover a distance of 340 km on a single charge and will catch a speed of 0-100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds.
MG Motors will provide 5 tier charging support for this electric SUV. Each ZS EV will be accompanied by a standard home charger, which can be plugged into any three pin socket. Through this, it will take 16-18 hours to be fully charged. Apart from this, the company will also install 7.4 kW charger at the place of choice of the car owner. With this, the car battery will be fully charged in only 6-8 hours. 50 kW chargers will also be installed at select dealerships, so that the car will be charged up to 80 percent within 50 minutes.

MG ZS EV features include projector headlamps, large grille with charging port at the front, dual tone alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, Android Auto, Apple Car Play etc. This electric car has an iSmart 2.0 connected car system. The MG ZS EV is 4314 mm long, 1809 mm wide and 1620 mm high. Its wheelbase is 2519 mm.
