Official sketches of Hyundai’s Next Generation i20 have been revealed. The car is going to make a global debut at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show next month. The new i20 has been spotted in India and during testing on international locations. The new Next Generation i20 will get style updates, advanced features and new engine options.

Going to sketches, the new i20 will get the company’s signature cascading grill. Sharper headlamps with integrated front face and integrated LED drills will be available. Its bumper may remain similar to the recently unveiled Hyundai Aura. Its core design can remain the same as the current generation model. Although some design elements can be found from other Hyundai cars. In the rear, wrap around tail lamps can be given in a boomerang pattern. Overall, it will be more sporty and sharp looking than before.

Possible Features

Premium features are likely to be present within the Next Generation i20. These include 8.0 inch large touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, new multifunction steering vehicle, automatic climate control, wireless charging, rear AC vents, push button start / stop, front and rear armrest etc.

Talking about the technology features, the new i20 can get advanced bluelink connected technology. Smart features such as real time vehicle monitoring, automatic crash notifications, vehicle health reports, remote start / stop and lock / unlock, vehicle immobilizer can be accessed through this.

Engine option

Next Generation i20 can get 1.2 liter BS6 petrol engine, 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine and 1.5 liter BS6 diesel engine options. Out of these, the 1.2 liter petrol engine will be able to generate 83 hp power and 114 Nm peak torque, while the diesel engine will be able to generate 90hp power.

The next generation Hyundai i20 is expected to start selling in India from June 2020. It will compete with Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Ford Freestyle, Tata Altroz ​​and Honda Jazz.
