Volkswagen India has launched its T-Roc SUV in India. The T-Roc will be imported as a completely built unit in India. T-Roc has over 500 bookings so far. Delivery of this SUV will start from mid-April. The vehicles that the Volkswagen T-Roc competes with in its price segment include Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and MG Hector. The T-Roc will be imported as a completely built unit in India. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 19.99 lakh. At the same time, Tata Harrier price ranges from 13.69 lakh to 20.25 lakh rupees. The price of Jeep Compass ranges from 16.5 lakhs to 24.99 lakhs. The price of MG Hector ranges from 12.74 Lakh to 17.28 Lakh.
Engine and power
The Volkswagen T-Roc is powered by a 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine. It is a BS-VI Compliant. The Jeep Compass is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo petrol and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine. The MG Hector also has a 48 V mild hybrid system with 1.5 liter turbo petrol and 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine. At the same time, the Tata Harrier only has a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine.
