Tata Motors’ upcoming premium hatchback Altroz has received a 5-star rating in relation to adult safety from Global NCAP, a safety rating unit. The company said on Wednesday that Altroz is the second passenger vehicle after Nexon to receive five stars in adult safety ratings from Global NCAP. Nexon received this rating in December 2018.
The company said that Altroz has received a three-star rating for children’s convenience. The company said that Global NCAP has evaluated both the front and side impact of the car. The results of both the tests together have got a rating of 5 stars.
Set new bench-marked
Mayank Parikh, president of Tata Motors’ Passenger Vehicles Business Unit (PVBU), said in a statement that by attaining this rating, Altroz has set a new benchmark in industry safety standards. This score reiterates that the company is living up to its promise of making the best product in global car safety. These products are going to reach Indian customers.
January is going to launch in the end
Altroz is scheduled to be launched later this month. Through this, Tata Motors will enter the premium hatchback segment and increase its penetration in the country’s passenger vehicle segment.
