Volkswagen India has launched its T-Roc SUV in India. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 19.99 lakh. Earlier, the company Tiguan AllSpace was recently launched in India. The T-Roc will come via the CBU route in the country. According to sources, T-Roc has so far been booked over 500. The T-Roc will be available in 5 dual-tone colors. The delivery of this SUV will start from mid-April.
Engine and power
The Volkswagen T-Roc is powered by a 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine. It is a BS-VI Compliant. The engine of the SUV can generate 150hp power and peak torque of 250Nm. Along with this, there is a 7 speed DSG transmission and paddle shifters. The company says that cylinder deactivation technology has been used with the engine of T-Roc. This will help in getting better mileage.
The T-Roc features LED headlamps, DRLs like the Hyundai Tucson, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and LED tail lamps. The cabin of the SUV has features such as sunroof, powered driver seat, digital instrument console, touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system supports Android and iOS connectivity. Along with T-Roc, there is also the WeConnect Go app of Volkswagen. On this, information of the vehicle can be seen and emergency calls can be made or roadside assistance can be found. Safety features of the car include 6 airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC) etc.

The Volkswagen T-Roc competes with the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. However, it is smaller than its rivals and is only in petrol variants. At the same time, Tucson petrol comes in 8-speed automatic transmission with a diesel engine and Jeep Compass petrol-DCT and diesel-automatic transmission.
