Delhi Development Authority (DDA) So far, more than 1200 LIG and 440 EWS flats have been sold under the Affordable Housing and Medium Housing Scheme. This information was given through an official statement on Saturday. The statement said that out of 183 flats located in Ramgarh, 153 flats have been sold. At the same time, booking of 708 LIG flats in Rohini and 250 flats in Narela has been done. According to the statement, around 300 flats in Narela have been sold in the EWS category and all 139 flats in Loknayakpuram have been booked. It said that the scheme has received an excellent response from the first day of booking on September 10 and all the HIG flats offered in Jasola were sold out on the first day itself.
Dwarka flats are being offered
The statement said that now along with this, flats in Dwarka are being offered where applications have been invited for the sale of one penthouse, three super HIGs, 18 HIGs and most of the MIGs. Its popularity can be gauged from the fact that about 2,000 people bid for 169 flats and after several rounds of bidding, the flats were sold at a price much higher than the reserve price. It said the housing schemes were launched under the guidance of Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena, who is personally leading and monitoring the schemes.
Two schemes are still running
DDA has launched three housing schemes in August 2024 – Affordable Housing and Middle Class Housing Schemes and Dwarka Housing Scheme. Under this, different categories of flats are being offered at various places including Dwarka, Jasola, Narela, Rohini, Loknayakpuram, Ramgarh and Sirsapur. For the first two schemes, flats can be booked on first come first serve (FCFS) basis while under Dwarka Awas Yojana, flats were sold through e-auction. The Dwarka Awas Yojana has been closed, while the initial two first-come, first-served schemes are still operational.
