Share Market Closing 30th Sep, 2024: There was a huge fall in the Indian stock market on Monday. This was the second consecutive day when the market has recorded a decline. Earlier on Friday last week too, a decline was recorded in the market after reaching record level. Today i.e. on the last Monday of September, BSE Sensex closed at 84,299.78 points with a fall of 1272.07 points, while on the other hand Nifty 50 also closed at 25,810.85 points with a loss of 368.10 points.
Today, shares of only 5 out of 30 Sensex companies remained in profit while shares of remaining 25 companies closed with loss. In Nifty 50 also, out of 50 companies, shares of only 9 companies closed in the green mark while shares of 41 companies closed in the red mark.
Highest rise in JSW Steel shares
JSW Steel shares closed the highest for Sensex with a gain of 2.86 percent. Apart from this, shares of NTPC closed with a rise of 1.25 percent, Tata Steel by 1.08 percent, Titan by 0.41 percent and Asian Paints by 0.22 percent.
Huge fall in Axis Bank shares
Axis Bank shares closed today with the biggest fall of 3.15 percent. Shares of Reliance closed down by 3.09 percent, ICICI Bank by 2.56 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra by 2.03 percent, Bajaj Finserv by 2.02 percent.
These shares registered a decline of more than 1 percent
Apart from these, shares of Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, State Bank of India, Nestle India, Tata Motors, Infosys, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank recorded a decline of 1 percent to 2 percent. Shares of Bajaj Finance, ITC, TCS, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Adani Ports, PowerGrid, Larsen & Toubro, HCL Tech and Hindustan Unilever have seen a decline of less than 1 percent.
