According to the report, home sales have increased in all major cities except Delhi-NCR, where sales have declined by 7 percent year-on-year. The highest sales were recorded in Mumbai at 24,222 units, a new high for the market. Sales in Mumbai increased by 9 percent year-on-year. Among big cities, the biggest jump in sales was seen in Bengaluru, which was up 11 per cent year-on-year with 14,604 units. Similarly, housing sales in Pune rose 1 per cent to 13,200 units, while demand in Hyderabad rose 9 per cent to 9,114 units.
7 percent decline in Delhi-NCR
Ahmedabad saw an 11 percent growth in sales, to 4,578 units, while Kolkata saw a 14 percent growth in sales, to 4,309 units. Home sales in Chennai increased by 6 percent to 4,105 units. However, sales of residential properties in Delhi-NCR declined 7 per cent to 12,976 units during July-September compared to the same period a year ago.
