Indian stock market last week Closes firmly. Investors’ faces lit up due to good gains on Friday. Let us tell you that the market valuation (market cap) of 5 out of the 10 most valuable companies of Sensex increased by Rs 1,13,117.17 crore last week. Bharti Airtel was the biggest gainer. While the market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Infosys increased in the week under review, Reliance Industries, State Bank of India (SBI), Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), ITC and Hindustan Unilever’s valuation declined. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 623.07 points or 0.76 percent. Whereas the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty gained 90.5 points or 0.36 percent.

Airtel’s market cap increased by Rs 47,836 crore

In the week under review, the market valuation of Bharti Airtel increased by Rs 47,836.6 crore to reach Rs 9,57,842.40 crore. Infosys’ market cap increased by Rs 31,826.97 crore to Rs 8,30,387.10 crore. HDFC Bank’s valuation rose by Rs 11,887.78 crore to Rs 14,31,158.06 crore and ICICI Bank’s valuation rose by Rs 11,760.8 crore to Rs 9,49,306.37 crore. The market capitalization of TCS stood at Rs 16,18,587.63 crore with a jump of Rs 9,805.02 crore. Contrary to this trend, the market capitalization of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 52,031.98 crore to Rs 17,23,144.70 crore.

LIC’s market position declined

LIC’s market cap declined by Rs 32,067.73 crore to Rs 5,89,869.29 crore. The valuation of Hindustan Unilever (HUL) declined by Rs 22,250.63 crore to Rs 5,61,423.08 crore. The market valuation of State Bank of India (SBI) declined by Rs 2,052.66 crore to Rs 7,69,034.51 crore. ITC’s market cap declined by Rs 1,376.19 crore to Rs 5,88,195.82 crore. Reliance Industries remained at first position in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, LIC, ITC and Hindustan Unilever respectively.
