Oil marketing companies have given a shock to LPG consumers on the morning of 1 October. The price of LPG cylinder of 19 kg gas has been increased from Rs 48.50 to Rs 50. According to the official website of Indian Oil, now the price of 19 kg LPG gas cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 1740. However, the companies have not made any change in the price of domestic LPG gas cylinders. Like before, it will be available in Delhi for Rs 803.

According to Indian Oil, from October 1, 2024, commercial LPG cylinder is available at Rs 1692.50 in Mumbai, Rs 1850.50 in Kolkata and Rs 1903 in Chennai. Earlier in September also, the rate of LPG cylinder had increased by about Rs 39 and it became Rs 1691.50. Earlier it was Rs 1652.50. A 19 kg LPG cylinder has now become costlier by Rs 48 in Kolkata from Tuesday.

Dhaba-restaurants will be affected
Due to increase in the price of commercial gas cylinders, there may be an impact on the food rates of restaurants, hotels and dhabas. Commercial LPG gas cylinders are used exclusively at these places. If seen, oil marketing companies had increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders in the last two months also. Prices were increased in September and August also. There was an increase of Rs 39 in September and Rs 8-9 in August.
