NOC will not be required for land registration, this state government made a big announcement

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday made a big announcement keeping in mind the interests of the common people. Making a big announcement on Thursday, Bhagwant Mann said that no NOC will be required for registration of land documents in the state. This decision of the Punjab Government will provide relief to those people of the state who have small lands. State Chief Minister Mann said that Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Thursday approved the ‘Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation (Amendment) Bill’, 2024.

The bill was passed in the Punjab Assembly on September 3.

Let us tell you that a bill was passed in the Punjab Assembly last month on September 3, the main objective of this bill is to end the ongoing practice of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for registration of land documents. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the purpose of this amendment is to ensure strict control on illegal colonies and also to provide relief to those who have small lands. Chief Minister Mann said that under this new law, provision for punishment and punishment for criminals has also been made.

NOC is not required for registration of land up to 500 yards.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that according to the amendment in the law, any person who has issued a power of attorney, agreement for sale on stamp paper or any other such document for land up to 500 square yards in an unauthorized colony till July 31, 2024, If he has done so then he will not need any NOC for land registration. He alleged that illegal colonies grew rapidly during the long “misgovernance” of previous governments because the previous governments had given protection to those who set up illegal colonies.
