You know that recruitment work is done by the HR department in companies. But rejecting a CV took a heavy toll on the HR department of a company. Something happened that the company fired half the staff of the department. According to the news of Livemint, in fact, a post has recently gone viral on Reddit in which a manager revealed that half the people of his company’s HR department were fired. This is because his CV was mistakenly rejected by the company’s faulty automated recruitment system.
Know what was the matter
According to the news, in his post, the manager working as a tech lead was looking for a single recruit to his team. For three months, they were not able to find a single person for the post. To resolve this, the manager then created a new email and sent them my modified CV with a fake name to see what was happening with the process and surprisingly they were automatically rejected. .
In his post, the tech lead expressed his disappointment and wrote – HR didn’t even look at my CV. I raised this with management and they fired half the HR department over the next weeks. The problem was that they were looking for an AngularJS developer while we were looking for an Angular developer.
Silly mistakes can be fixed in minutes
The tech lead further said that silly mistakes like this can and should be fixed in minutes, and since profiles without AngularJS in the CV were automatically rejected, we literally rejected all potential candidates. Lost. They also reported that when they contacted HR for updates on recruitment, they were told that they had some candidates who did not pass the first screening process (which was false). The manager said- People working in HR are incredibly mediocre and lazy.
