There is no holiday in the month of October in the list of holidays available on the website of Bombay Stock Exchange after October 2. Here Diwali holiday is given on Friday, 1 November. After this, there is a weekly holiday in the stock market on Saturday and Sunday. In this way, there will be a holiday for the stock market for 3 consecutive days. But if the stock exchange issues a circular and declares market holiday on 31st October, then the stock market may remain closed for 4 consecutive days.
When is Muhurat Trading?
This time Muhurat trading will be held in the stock market on Friday, November 1. This will be a special 1 hour ‘Muhurat Vyapar’ session. This will mark the beginning of the new Samvat 2081. Stock exchanges said in separate circulars that indicative trading sessions will be held between 6 pm and 7 pm. This season also marks the beginning of a new samvat (Hindu calendar year starting from Diwali). Doing business during ‘Muhurat’ or ‘auspicious hours’ is believed to bring prosperity and financial growth for the stakeholders.

November 1 is the official holiday for Diwali in stock exchanges. Markets will remain closed on this day. But the special trading window will remain open for one hour in the evening. The stock exchanges have announced that the pre-opening session will be held from 5:45 to 6:00 pm. At the same time, a special trading session will be organized from 6 to 7 pm. Market analysts said Diwali is considered the ideal time to start anything new. It is believed that investors get profit from trading during this session throughout the year.
