Delhi-based Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi Airport) has become the only airport in the country which is connected to 150 destinations. Bangkok-Don Mueang Airport has been added as the latest destination i.e. the 150th destination. Thai AirAsia According to ANI news, the new route will operate with Airbus A330 aircraft twice a week. The airline is also planning to increase the frequency from two to four times by mid-January 2025.

Added over 20 exclusive international destinations

According to the news, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the company operating the Delhi Airport, said that in the last few years, the Delhi Airport has added more than 20 specific international destinations, including Phnom Penh, Bali Denpasar, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Washington Dulles, Chicago O’Hare and Tokyo Haneda. Over the past 10 years, the airport has experienced 100 percent growth in transfer passengers, further cementing its position as a leading transit hub in South Asia.

88 percent places are connected to Delhi

88 per cent of all long-haul destinations from India are connected to Delhi and 56 per cent of all long-haul weekly flights from India operate from Delhi Airport. Nearly 50 per cent (42 per cent to be exact) of long-distance travelers from India choose Delhi as their entry gate. Delhi Airport provides seamless connections to international destinations to four million domestic passengers annually.
