Share Market Closing 4th October, 2024: Even on the last day of the week the stock market closed with a decline. The decline in the Indian market has been continuing since Friday last week. Today was the 5th consecutive day of decline in the stock market. Today on Friday, BSE Sensex fell by 808.65 points and closed at 81,688.45 points. On the other hand, Nifty 50 also fell by 200.25 points and closed at 25,049.85 points. Let us tell you that this week was very bad for the Indian market. This week, a total decline of 3883.40 points was recorded in Sensex, while on the other hand, a total decline of 1129.10 points was recorded in Nifty 50 this week.
The decline has continued since Friday last week

Last week on Thursday, the Sensex closed at a new record level of 26,216.05 points with a gain of 666.25 points at 85,836.12 points and the Nifty 50 closed at a new record level of 26,216.05 points with a gain of 211.90 points. Today i.e. on Friday, shares of 22 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the red mark and shares of the remaining 8 companies closed in the green mark. Similarly, shares of 37 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 closed in the red mark and shares of 13 companies closed in the green mark.
The decline recorded in these shares
Today, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra among the Sensex companies recorded the biggest decline of 3.58 percent. Shares of Bajaj Finance 3.01 percent, Nestle India 2.85 percent, Asian Paints 2.49 percent, Bharti Airtel 2.09 percent, UltraTech Cement 1.99 percent, ITC 1.86 percent, Hindustan Unilever 1.60 percent, PowerGrid 1.57 percent, HDFC Bank 1.51 percent, Bajaj Finserv 1.47 percent, Reliance shares closed down by 1.47 percent, ICICI Bank by 1.38 percent, NTPC by 1.21 percent. Apart from these, shares of Adani Ports, Kotak Mahindra Bank, JSW Steel, Maruti Suzuki, Titan, Larsen & Toubro, Sun Pharma and Tata Steel also closed in the red.
Despite the fall, these shares closed with gains
Amidst the fall, Infosys shares recorded the highest rise of 1.33 percent. Tech Mahindra shares rose by 0.83 percent, Tata Motors shares by 0.51 percent, Axis Bank shares by 0.50 percent, TCS shares by 0.42 percent, State Bank shares by 0.28 percent, HCL Tech shares by 0.27 percent and IndusInd Bank shares by 0.12 percent.
