According to the official website of the Passport Seva, to obtain a passport under the Tatkal scheme, applicants above 18 years of age must produce any three documents mentioned in the acceptable documents list along with address, birth and non-ECR proofs (as applicable). - Bank Passbook or Kisan Passbook or Post Office Passbook (with applicant’s photo attested and latest transactions)
- Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Class Certificate
- Arms License issued under the Arms Act, 1959 (54 of 1959)
- Pension documents such as pension book of ex-servicemen or pension payment orders issued to retired government employees, widow or dependent certificate of ex-servicemen, old age pension order.
- Service photo identity card issued by State/Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Local Bodies or Public Limited Companies

- There is a case of major change in name
- Whose present address is outside the jurisdiction of RPO
- Minor’s application with Annex C (for example, minors whose parents are divorced or separated, etc.)
- Applicants brought back from abroad at government expense
- Applicants who have been deported back to India or who are traveling on emergency certificate
- Persons of Naga origin including minors (under 18 years of age)
- People of Naga origin living outside Nagaland
- Persons of Jammu and Kashmir origin including minors (under 18 years of age)
- Applicants who fall under section 6(2)(e) or 6(2)(f) (relating to criminal court cases)
- Applicants with adverse police reports, placed on watch list, habitual passport losers or who have previously traveled on forged or fake passports
