Bonus Share: The country’s leading IT company Wipro is going to give bonus shares to its shareholders in the ratio of 1:1. The company shared important information regarding the record date in an exchange filing on Thursday, November 21. Wipro said that the company’s board of directors has fixed the record date for bonus shares on Tuesday, December 3. This means, Wipro shares will trade ex-bonus on December 3. Investors who buy shares of the company on December 3 will not be able to get the benefit of bonus shares. Investors have till December 2 to avail the bonus shares. The company will issue bonus shares on each share purchased till Monday, December 2.

Wipro’s board of directors has recommended the issue of 1 bonus share for each share with a face value of Rs 2, the company had said in an exchange filing on October 17. The company had said that the record date for the bonus shares will be announced later. After which today the company also announced the record date for bonus shares.

The company’s shares opened today with a fall at Rs 560.05 and during trading it reached an intraday low of Rs 555.30 and an intraday high of Rs 567.45. Despite the ongoing decline in the stock market, the company’s shares are close to their 52 week high. The 52 week high of the company’s shares is Rs 583.00 and 52 week low is Rs 393.20. According to BSE data, the current market cap of Wipro is Rs 2,91,513.36 crore.
