Share Market Opening 16th October, 2024: After opening in the green for two consecutive days, the Indian stock market opened in the red on Wednesday. On the third day of the week, BSE Sensex opened with a fall of 173.52 points at 81,646.60 points while NSE Nifty 50 also opened with a fall of 48.80 points at 25,008.55 points. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, October 15, the domestic stock market opened in the green mark with a rise but closed in the red mark with a fall.
Shares of 18 out of 30 Sensex companies are in the red.
At the start of trading on Wednesday at 9.18 am, shares of only 12 out of 30 Sensex companies were trading in the green, while shares of all the remaining 18 companies were trading in the red. Similarly, in Nifty 50, out of 50 companies, shares of 26 companies were trading in the green mark and shares of 24 companies were trading in the red mark.
Power Grid’s shares saw the biggest rise
Till 9.18 am, shares of Power Grid among the Sensex companies were trading the highest with a gain of 0.53 percent. Apart from this, shares of Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, JSW Steel, HDFC Bank, Asian Paints, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and State Bank of India were also trading in the green.
Mahindra & Mahindra shares fell the most
Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra were trading with maximum decline of 1.20 percent. Along with this, TCS, ITC, Nestle India, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Titan, UltraTech Cement, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Industries, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Ports, Tech Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, HCL Tech and Axis. Bank shares were also trading in loss.
