Chandra Prakash quits on the question asked for Rs 7 crore

After a blockbuster like ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, megastar Amitabh Bachchan is now busy with his quiz reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16’. The 16th season of KBC started on August 12 and so far 32 episodes have been released, in which different contestants were seen answering the questions asked by Amitabh Bachchan. Now the show has got its first crorepati of this season. Chandra Prakash of Jammu and Kashmir, who is a UPSC aspirant, is the roll-over contestant in tonight’s episode. In the last episode, Chandra Prakash answered the question asked for 1 crore and became the first crorepati of the season. As soon as Chandra Prakash answered the question asked for one crore correctly, questions started arising whether he would be able to answer the jackpot question, the answer to which has now been found.

Question asked for 7 crores

After becoming the first crorepati of KBC16, Chandra Prakash faced the jackpot question of Rs 7 crore. Big B asked him the 16th question for Rs 7 crore and asked – Who was the first recorded child born to English parents in North America in 1587? The options were – A: Virginia Dare, B: Virginia Hall, C: Virginia Coffee and D: Virginia Sink.

Chandra Prakash quit the Rs 7 crore question

After facing the jackpot question of Rs 7 crore, Chandra Prakash Sharma quit the game citing that he had no idea about the question and its options and took home Rs 1 crore. He also thanked the show’s host Amitabh Bachchan for helping him ease his nervousness during the show.

Contestant Chandra Prakash, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, has faced many difficult situations. Chandra Prakash told during the show that when he was born, it was discovered that he had a blockage in his intestine, due to which he had to undergo surgery. Later his parents came to know that these medicines had affected their son’s kidneys, after which his parents somehow got him treated. Currently, Chandra Prakash is preparing for UPSC. According to Chandra Prakash, he is doing a master’s degree in economics and along with this he is also preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Chandra Prakash is pursuing his studies from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), because the rest of the time he stays at home and devotes to his UPSC preparation.
