This boy chose the path of becoming a hero and was badly disappointed. But this boy had big dreams and his courage was flying high. There was no regret in not being able to become a hero but then art burst from the pen. This boy who was once called the life of Bollywood is none other than Salim Khan. Salim Khan, along with his friend Javed Akhtar, created such a stir with his pen that it started raining notes at the box office. Salim Khan is celebrating his 89th birthday today. Even at this stage of age, the juice of experience and hard work still drips from Salim Khan’s voice. On the birthday of Salim Khan, many fans including Bollywood stars have congratulated him through social media. On this occasion, we know the cinematic journey of Salim Khan, which started from Indore in the 1950s.

Ruled Bollywood after coming out of Indore

On this day in 1935, a younger son was born in the house of a police officer in Indore. Named Salim Khan. This child, who is beautiful in appearance, fair body, clear voice and intelligent mind, loses his father at the age of 14. After the father leaves, the elder brother gets the job and also the responsibility. Salim Khan turned out to be of a colorful nature. He used to write letters to his friends in beautiful handwriting and poetic style. Many of Salim Khan’s friends used to get him to write letters for their girlfriends. One reason for this was that Salim Khan loved reading and was crazy about stories. Salim Khan also started knowing the art of poetry since his youth. When he grew up a little, he came to Mumbai to become a hero. Salim Khan started his struggle here and entered the world of acting through the film ‘Alladin Laila’ released in 1957. After doing about 17 films, Salim Khan himself realized that he did not want to be a hero. Salim Khan decided to work in the film industry as a writer. At this time Salim Khan became friends with Javed Akhtar. Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar paired up and started writing stories for films.

Only the initial films brought success

Earned name through films like ‘Do Bhai’ released in 1969, ‘Adhikar’ and ‘Andaz’ released in 1971. Then in 1971 itself, Rajesh Khanna starrer film ‘Haathi Mere Sathi’ was released. This film did wonders at the box office. It also proved to be the biggest superhit film of the year. This film made the pairing of Salim Khan and his friend Javed Akhtar a hit. After this, Salim Khan along with Javed Akhtar wrote the stories of many superhit films in Bollywood. Not only this, the film ‘Zanjeer’ which made Amitabh Bachchan a superstar was also written by Salim Khan along with his friend Javed. There was a time in the 70s and 80s when the duo of Salim Khan and his friend Javed Akhtar were given more value than the superstars.

Salim Khan wrote the stories of more than 56 films in his career. Salim Khan’s son Salman Khan started his career in the 80s. Salman Khan became a superstar in the early 90s. Today everyone in the film world not only knows Salim Khan but also respects him. Salim Khan is counted among the most legendary actors of Bollywood today.
