Multi-starrer film flopped and actor suffered loss, did not get fees, had to visit director's office

The actor was yearning for money

Vashu Bhagnani is on the internet as several cast and crew have claimed that they have not been paid their dues after working in ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’. However, the producer claims that this is not the case and has also blamed director Ali Abbas Zafar for misuse of money. Actor Ronit Roy, who worked on the project, also shared his views on a similar incident and vowed to never work with Vashu again.

Actor does not want to work with Vashu Bhagnani

Speaking over Zoom, Ronit started off with several revelations that he considers himself lucky to have received a major portion of his acting fees for BMCM. He said, ‘The money was to come from Vashu Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani gave it, but all this happened only after the intervention of Himanshu Mehra who works with BMCM director Ali Abbas Zafar. I am now vowing to never work with Vashu again. He said that there was a lot of delay in the payment of his staff and security company and this also became clear after pressure from Mehra. Whereas Vashu claims that Zafar had usurped Dubai’s shooting subsidy. When the actor was asked if he would ever want to work with Vashu Bhagnani again, Ronit laughed and said, ‘No.’

The actor wandered from door to door for money

Ronit further said that his staff was paid from the same funds that were left over from the shooting. ‘Really Himanshu and Zafar should now just try to see why it is necessary to at least pay on time.’ Ronit Roy was asked about Ali Abbas Zafar’s claims of not being given more than Rs 7 crore, to which he said that there is not much information about it. Roy further said, ‘Vashu used to come to the set every day. He is an experienced person. It’s hard to believe how they didn’t realize this on set. I have had to make several trips to his office for money.
