Allu Arjun and director Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has taken a spectacular opening across the world. In India, the film has grossed over Rs 175.1 crore, becoming the biggest opener of all time. Apart from this, ‘Pushpa 2’ has overtaken Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ to become the highest collecting movie of all time on the first day in Hindi. Allu Arjun starrer this film has now become India’s biggest film to open at the box office. The film has earned more than Rs 175 crore on the first day i.e. Thursday, replacing SS Rajamouli’s superhit ‘RRR’.
Pushpa’s record breaking earnings on the first day
The most awaited film of 2024, ‘Pushpa 2’, released in theaters on 5 December. The film was shown on over 10,000 screens worldwide. According to tracking website Sacknilk, ‘Pushpa 2’ earned a whopping Rs 175.1 crore on the first day in India. The special premiere show in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bengaluru grossed Rs 10.1 crore. The sequel earned Rs 165 crore on Thursday, with the Telugu version making a whopping Rs 85 crore in India. The Hindi version earned Rs 67 crore, breaking the record of Rs 64 crore made by Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’.
Pushpa 2 beats these films and creates a new record
Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s film has made a great collection of Rs 7 crore in Tamil and Rs 5 crore in Malayalam version. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala has claimed on his X page that the film achieved the milestone of all-time Day 1 opener in India. According to early estimates, no one thought that ‘Pushpa 2’ could beat SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ by collecting more than Rs 223 crore on the first day. Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa 2’ stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. The film also stars Anasuya Bhardwaj, Sunil, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh and Jagdish Pratap Bandari. Actress Sreeleela played a cameo role in the film ‘Pushpa 2’.
