Unforgettable Gala: Ayushmann Khurrana honored with 'Future Leader for One Asia', said this on Indian cinema

Ayushmann Khurrana: Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who was recently honored with the ‘Future Leader for One Asia’ at the 22nd Unforgettable Gala, is proud that Indian cinema is finally transcending demographics, cultures and languages. The actor said he believes in the power of cinema to influence everyone, and he feels great seeing Indian cinema doing the same.

The actor was honored at the ceremony along with Chinese-American actress Joan Chen. Thanking the jury and team through a video message, Ayushmann said, “Celebrating the stories of India, its culture and its people helps me grow as a creative artist. I always wanted to be known as an actor who showed the world a side of India that very few have seen, told stories that are not often told and supported people and causes that deserve more. Is often ignored. Vicky Donor, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Article 15, Badhaai Ho, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Bala, etc. are films that I have deliberately chosen to bring positive social change as an actor. I am glad that you and the whole world have liked these stories.

The Unforgettable Gala is presented by Character Media and Golden TV, and commemorates Asian and Pacific Islander celebrities, influencers and leaders who have contributed to arts, entertainment and culture.
