Pooja Bhatt has launched the unfiltered podcast ‘Maine Dil Se Kaha’ on the occasion of her father Mahesh Bhatt’s 76th birthday. It is produced by Imran Zahid. In this podcast, Pooja Bhatt, one of the most beautiful actresses of the 90s, talks openly about her experiences with drug addiction, which includes a lot about her first film ‘Daddy’ and the journey during the making of that film. She reflects on her challenges and tells how they have changed her outlook towards life. Pooja Bhatt also said something in this unfiltered podcast that will touch anyone’s heart.
When Pooja Bhatt got addicted to alcohol
Pooja Bhatt said, ‘Either we own our story or it owns us. Only when we muster the courage to embrace our history can we begin to write our legacy. At the age of 17, I worked in my first film ‘Daddy’ which is the story of a girl who saves her father from drowning in alcohol addiction. Ironically, at the age of 44, I found myself struggling with the same addiction and had to save myself.’
Mahesh Bhatt’s message changed Pooja Bhatt’s life
Pooja Bhatt further said, ‘My father once sent me a message which said, ‘Pooja, if you love me, love yourself too; I live within you.’ That message changed everything for me and I quit drinking from that moment onwards.’ Pooja also revealed that the upcoming podcast will highlight the sensitive and emotional aspects of addiction, which will be discussed openly and added, ‘This podcast will be an unfiltered journey from the depths of my heart, featuring guests who have fought similar battles in their lives. Real role models are those who show their flaws and failures to the world.’
