Big B narrated the story related to the film ‘Yaarana’

This quiz based reality show of Amitabh Bachchan is very popular among the audience. Big B has also been hosting different seasons of this show for years and now he is hosting the 16th season of the show that changes people’s fortunes. During the show, Amitabh Bachchan often shares some unheard and untold stories related to his life with the audience and contestants. Recently, he narrated an incident related to the hit song ‘Sara Zamana’ from his film ‘Yaarana’. During the shooting of this song, he got a tremendous electric shock, the reason for which was the jacket he wore in the song.
Big B recalled an anecdote related to Yaarana
In the latest episode of KBC 16, he shared this anecdote during a conversation with contestant Swapna Chaturvedi. Swapna Dwivedi told Big B that ‘Yaarana’ is one of his favorite films. Then Amitabh Bachchan jokingly says that he is always looking for work. On this, Swapna Chaturvedi described Big B as a versatile actor and told how he has done films of almost every genre. The conversation continues, then Big B shares an anecdote related to the song Sara Zamana from Yaarana.
A crowd of 50-60 thousand people had gathered in the stadium
He told that this song was to be shot during the day in the newly opened Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium in Kolkata. But, as soon as people got to know about this, a crowd of 50-60 thousand people gathered in the stadium. Whereas, the stadium had a seating capacity of only 12 thousand people. The situation got so bad that there was no option left except to stop the shooting and leave from there. The makers decided that it would be better to shoot the song quietly at night. Then what, after returning to Mumbai for a few days, the whole team returned to Kolkata to shoot this song.
Big B got an electric shock
When the makers started shooting the song at night, Big B gave the director the idea of putting candles on the seats so that people get an illusion. During the shooting of this song ‘Sara Zamana’, Big B wore a ‘Bijli Wala Jacket’. Because, in those days the technology was not very advanced, bulbs were installed in his jacket and these were directly connected to the electric wire. These wires went directly to the main line through his feet. Then what happened, as soon as the electricity was switched on, he started dancing. Amitabh said that he was not dancing because he wanted to dance. Rather it was the electric shock due to which he started dancing.
