The film had raised expectations of a superhit by opening at Rs 82 crore on the very first day. Now this film has earned Rs 112 crore in 2 days. Earlier this record was in the name of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan starrer film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. By earning Rs 40 crore on Saturday, Devra has made a place in the list of films earning Rs 100 crore.

According to IMDB data, Tamil director Nag Ashwin’s film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has made a worldwide gross collection of Rs 1052 crore. After this, director Amar Kaushik’s superhit film ‘Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Terror’ took the second place at the box office by collecting Rs 815 crore. After this, South superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s film ‘The Great of All Time’ is at third place with a worldwide collection of Rs 442 crore. When Devra’s lead hero NTR Jr. was asked, what is the motive behind casting from Bollywood also. In response to this, NTR had said that we want to run our film equally across the country. We have cast Jhanvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan because we want to show it in the Hindi belt as well. Now this plan of NTR Jr. seems to be successful. Because the film is performing well not only in South but also in North theatres. According to Secnilk data, the film has the highest occupancy in Hyderabad which is 39 percent. The occupancy is 31 percent in Mumbai, 20 in Delhi NCR, 39 in Pune, 17 in Ahmedabad, 18 in Surat, 14 in Bhopal and 27 percent in Lucknow. In such a situation, the makers have started hoping that the film will earn well and become the highest grossing film of the year.
