Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has assured the bank customers that not a single penny will be lost due to the situation arising after Yes Bank’s board was disbanded and taken over by RBI. Speaking to the media for the first time after the crisis at Yes Bank, the Finance Minister said that the Efforts are being made to recover from the this crises and specialist have been placed for recover this crises. She also said that we are fully engaged in reviving Yes Bank
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave the example of United Western Bank getting into trouble and said that this incident happened in 2006 and every customer got money back. She said that RBI had also established control over UBI and merged with IDBI. She said that this effort is also of the same kind. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman blamed the UPA government for the collapse of the banking sector. She said that the some people of the opposition did nothing when they were in power and are now asking to the government for answers the questions that they did not listen to.
Nirmala said that we will take every step to strengthen the banking sector. Whole rupee of every investor is safe. We will take every step in the interest of investors and the economy. Significantly, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram had launched a scathing attack on the government for the Yes Bank crisis. Rahul Gandhi had tweeted and wrote that Modi and his ideas have ruined the Indian economy.
