OpenAI has finally purchased Chat Dot Com, which is in the list of the world’s oldest domains. The company has purchased this domain from Dharmesh Shah, founder and CTO of HubSpot. OpenAI has now replaced Chat Dot Com redirects directly with ChatGPT.

Let us tell you that Chat Dot Com is one of the oldest domains. It was first registered in 1996. It is being told that Dharmesh Shah had acquired it only last year. He spent about 15.5 million US dollars for this domain. If we convert it into Indian Rupees then this amount becomes around Rs 130 crores.

Information given by posting on social media

Dharmesh Shah had informed in March this year that he had sold this domain but at that time he did not disclose the name. After this, information about this deal was given by posting on microblogging platform X recently. Now a post has been made by Open AI CEO Sam Altman regarding this deal. It has now been confirmed from his post that Chat Dot Com has now become a part of OpenAI.

Sam Altmann has written only Chat.com in his post. Open AI has purchased the world’s oldest domain name for more than $15 million. Dharmesh Shah told that he got shares of OpenAI in the deal to sell Chat Dot Com. However, he has still not given complete information regarding this deal.

After this deal, Dharmesh Shah wrote a post on X, on which he said that Chat Dot Com is an attractive and great domain.
