This phone call was made between Eric R. Brewster and Avery A. Leonard of Harvard University. Both the people talked continuously for 46 hours 12 minutes 52 seconds without cutting the phone call. The most special thing about this longest call which made a world record was that no one was allowed to remain silent for more than 10 seconds. However, to avoid any adverse effect on the health of both the people, they were given a break of 5 minutes every hour.
World record was made in 2009 also

Before this phone call, the record for the longest phone call was also made in 2009. At that time the call was discussed continuously for 51 hours. This phone call was made by Sunil Prabhakar.
